One World Week

We have been talking and learning about 'Food', our likes and dislikes and finding out about where it comes from (far away, somewhere hot, specific places) and how it is grown (e.g. From a seed/ on a tree, plant, underground...)

We have been playing games, including the 'shopping game', "I spy..."and using Beebot to play the Picnic game developing our letter sound and shape knowledge - great fun!

We have also used the iPad to play a memory, matching game about fruit and taking turns with a friend. We have also used the PC to play a problem-solving game to sort the food into 'healthy' and 'unhealthy'.

It has been interesting learning about where the food comes from and how it is grown before we get it...?

We have decided to create our own pizzas next week and we made a class shopping list. We will be seeing if we can remember where the toppings come from and how they are grown when we make our pizzas.

Please talk about this and find out more at home.

can you play "I spy..."at the supermarket?
