Perfect Pizzas

We have been enjoying preparing to make our pizzas.

We have been playing games to learn about the food toppings we like to taste and developing our awareness of letter sounds too!

Our Pizza plans...

First, we made a shopping list together as a group, deciding what we would like to buy to put on our pizzas and thinking about other things we might need...

Individually, with adult and peer support, we talked about what we would like and carefully selected colours and media to represent e.g. Cheese, pepper, onion, pineapple etc

We talked about colour, shape, size and length and how things taste.

We thought about how things grow and where it comes from.

Let's get making...

Adding the sauce - "Squeeze!"

Adding the cheese - "Sprinkle, sprinkle..."

Spreading and adding the tomato sauce carefully

Using tools safely

Developing important self help skills

"I like cheese on it."

Showing initiative and developing independence!

We chose our toppings and used tools to cut and slice, e.g. peppers and onions.

Learning new words and developing vocabulary

Wow! We did it!

Team work!

Concentrating and developing independence

Trying new things

Exploring using sight, smell, taste and touch

Helping others

Taking turns

Following instructions

They look yummy!

Now, they need to go in the oven.

In the kitchen being careful near the oven. We know that the oven is hot and can be dangerous.

Working together to create a pizza using combined media...

Exploring colour, shape and size

What a perfect pizza!

Making choices

What a busy time!

Well done, everyone!
